Over 37 lakh healthcare workers vaccinated against Covid in India

India has recorded 1,07,46,183 confirmed Covid-19 cases including 1,54,274 deaths. A total of 1,04,23,125 people have recuperated from Covid-19 so far. There are 1,68,784 active cases in the country as of date, which comprises 1.57% of the total caseload. India’s recovery rate continues to rise and now stands at 96.99%. Over 37 lakh people have been given their first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine in India so far.

Delhi reported 140 fresh coronavirus cases as the positivity rate dropped to 0.23%. The state health department said these cases came out of 60,695 tests conducted to detect Covid-19. The death toll mounted to 10,853 after four more people succumbing to the disease. The tally of active cases dropped to 1,361 from 1,436 on Saturday.

As many as 2,585 new coronavirus cases were reported in Maharashtra, taking the total number of cases to 20,26,399. With fresh 1,670 discharges, the total number of recoveries is 19,29,005. The active number of cases stands at 45,071. Maharashtra reported 40 new deaths, taking the death toll to 51,082.

Haryana recorded 92 fresh Covid-19 cases, taking the infection tally to 2,67,897 while one more fatality pushed the death toll to 3,018. The total number of infections rose to 2,67,897. The number of active cases is 1,115 while 2,63,764 people have recovered from the disease. The recovery rate is 98.46%.

The coronavirus death toll in Uttar Pradesh rose to 8,658 in last twenty-four hours with eight more fatalities while 226 new cases pushed the infection tally to 6,00,299. A total of 369 patients have recovered from the disease, taking overall recoveries to 5,86,116. The count of active cases stands at 5,525.

Odisha reported 114 new Covid-19 cases, taking the total number of cases to 3,35,072. The death toll is at 1,906, and no death was reported in the last twenty-four hours.

Karnataka reported 522 new coronavirus cases, taking the total number of cases to 9,39,387. Karnataka witnessed four deaths. The death toll reached 12,217. With 465 fresh discharges, the total number of discharges climbed to 9,21,122. There are 6,029 active cases.

Andhra Pradesh’s Covid-19 tally reached 8,87,836 cases after 116 fresh cases were reported. The total number of recoveries climbed to 8,79,405 while the death toll mounted to 7,153. At present, there are 1,278 active coronavirus cases. No death was reported in the past 24 hours.
