The Executive Committee of the Oudh Bar Association of the Allahabad High Court has decided not to organise felicitation or the farewell function in the honour of Justice Dinesh Kumar Singh who has recently been transferred to the Kerala High Court.
In the present case, the said decision was taken in the emergency meeting which is being called upon on July 16, 2023 which was chaired by the President Anand Mani Tripathi and was supervised by the General Secretary Manoj Kumar Mishra.
The court also considered for organising a felicitation ceremony according to the old tradition in honour of Justice Singh.
The views were expressed by the office bearers and executive members that the behaviour of Justice Singh, during the tenure of him as the judge of the High Court has been disrespectful towards the lawyer.
The member also expressed the view of them that the behaviour of Justice Singh’s had tarnished the reputation of Associations.
It has unanimously decided by the Executive Committee that the Association would not organize a felicitation ceremony for Justice Singh.
Further, the association has resolved that the High Court convenes a full bench meeting in honour of Justice Singh, then the same will be boycott by the members of the Bar Association.
The Supreme Court Collegium had recommended the transfer of Justice D.K. Singh’s to Kerala High Court and has rejected that request of him to be transferred to other States such as Delhi, Punjab And Haryana, Madhya Pradesh or Rajasthan on 12.07.2023.
