Acting Duty Inspector Amy Bond stated that police responded to reports of shooting in the city’s south end about 10:21 p.m. on Saturday. According to CBC News, four hours after the shootings were reported, police claimed there were no further threats to public safety.
On Sunday, the deceased were identified. They were both from Toronto, and one was identified as Said Mohamed Ali, 26, and the other as Abdishakur Abdi-Dahir, 29.
