The citizens of Mahendragarh district have taken great advantage of the on-the-spot services being provided during the Vikas Bharat Jansamvad Sankalp Yatra. With government schemes and services available at their doorstep, they are saving time and money. During this campaign of about one month, 1 lakh 12 thousand citizens in the district reached the venue of the yatra.
Giving this information, Deputy Commissioner Monica Gupta (IAS) said that till now Vikas Bharat Jan Samvad Sankalp Yatra has reached 191 villages. Citizens in all the villages have taken full advantage of various services and schemes provided by the district administration.
He said that so far the health of 25762 citizens has been checked at the stalls set up by the Health Department. The AYUSH department examined the health of 14269 citizens and distributed medicines.
Apart from this, medicines were also distributed to the citizens as per their needs.
During this period, Ayushman cards were issued to 5664 citizens. The family of Ayushman card holders is also provided free treatment facilities in private hospitals of the panel in a year.
DC said that the Aadhaar cards of 11500 people were made or amended at the stall set up by NIC. 943 citizens got themselves registered under the Jeevan Jyoti Insurance Scheme.
He said that during the Bharat Jan Samvad Sankalp Yatra developed under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Scheme, 336 women were distributed free gas connections and their kitchens were made smoke free.
The Deputy Commissioner said that many other departments are also continuously providing their services to the citizens by setting up stalls during these yatras.
There is an atmosphere of happiness and enthusiasm among the citizens of the district regarding these yatras.
