Notorious criminal detained under Public Safety Act in Samba district

In a significant development aimed at curbing criminal activities in Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir, a notorious criminal identified as Shiv Dayal alias Sunny has been booked and detained under the Public Safety Act (PSA).

According to police sources, Shiv Dayal, a resident of Chohala Kothey in tehsil R.S Pura, Jammu district, was recently residing in Ward Number 6, Teli Basti, Bari Brahmana, Samba district. He has been implicated in multiple criminal cases across various Police Stations, posing a serious threat to public peace and tranquility.The detention order under the Jammu & Kashmir Public Safety Act was issued by the District Magistrate Samba following a detailed dossier prepared by SSP Samba, Vinay Kumar, highlighting Shiv Dayal’s continued involvement in criminal activities.

The successful execution of the detention warrant was carried out by a police team led by SHO PS Bari Brahmana, Sumit Sharma. Shiv Dayal has been subsequently lodged in District Jail Kathua as part of measures to maintain law and order in the region. This action underscores the authorities’ commitment to ensuring public safety and upholding the rule of law by deterring individuals involved in persistent criminal behavior.
