CMF, the sub-brand of tech company Nothing, is set to make a significant entry into the smartphone market with the launch of its inaugural device, the CMF Phone 1, on July 8. This announcement was made by the company via a social media post.
The eagerly anticipated CMF Phone 1 will be unveiled alongside two other new products – the CMF Buds Pro 2 and the CMF Watch Pro 2 – at the upcoming Community Update event. The event is scheduled for July 8 at 10 AM BST (2:30 PM IST), marking the debut of the initial ecosystem of devices under the CMF brand.
The announcement follows a series of leaks and sightings, including details about the CMF Phone 1’s specifications and the CMF Watch Pro 2’s listing on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website, hinting at a forthcoming launch in India.
While the company has kept specific details under wraps, it has teased a unique design element shared by all three devices: a rotating dial. Rumors suggest that the CMF Phone 1 will feature a 6.7-inch 120Hz OLED display, a dual 50MP rear camera setup, and a 50MP front-facing camera.
Speculation points to the CMF Phone 1 being powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 SoC, an octa-core processor with four cores running at 2.5GHz and another four at 2.0GHz. Storage options are expected to include 128GB and 256GB variants with UFS 2.2 technology. The phone is also rumored to have a 5,000mAh battery and support 33W wired fast charging. Pricing leaks suggest the device might be boxed at Rs. 19,999, with a potentially lower selling price.
The simultaneous launch of the CMF Buds Pro 2 and CMF Watch Pro 2 further underscores CMF’s commitment to building a comprehensive product lineup. As the launch date approaches, tech enthusiasts eagerly await the official unveiling to see how these devices will perform in the market and how they will be priced.
The introduction of these new products signals an exciting expansion for Nothing’s CMF brand, promising innovative features and competitive pricing.
