Northern Railway Mazdoor Union raises slogans demanding restoration of old pensions

On the final day of the hunger strike organized by the Northern Railway Mazdoor Union at Workshop Kalka, employees actively participated under the guidance of Branch Secretary Vikas Talwar. The hunger strike, conducted from January 8 to January 11, was in compliance with the directives of the central leadership. Employees at Workshop Kalka worked enthusiastically to bolster the ongoing movement against the New Pension Scheme (NPS), emphatically advocating for the restoration of the old pension system.

Today’s protest, spearheaded by Branch Secretary Vikas Talwar, Branch President Pyarelal, and Assistant Divisional Secretary/Central Assistant General Secretary (Youth) Ravindra Sharma, witnessed a robust participation of employees, including members from the Youth Wing and the women’s wing. The demonstration included discussions on the intricacies of the new and old pension systems, with slogans raised against the Government of India, reflecting the strong sentiments of the participants.
