Nobel Prizes for chemistry has been announced on Wednesday at the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences in Stockholm.
The prize has been jointly awarded to Carolyn Bertozzi, Morten Meldaland Berry Sharpless.
Benjamin List and David W.C. MacMillan received the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 2021 for finding a more sustainable method of creating chemicals, while Emmanuelle Charpentier and Jennifer Doudna received it in 2020 for developing the gene-editing tool CRISPR/Cas9 genetic scissors.
Monday marked the beginning of the Nobel Prize announcements, with Swedish scientist Svante Paabo winning the prize in medicine for his research on Neanderthal DNA.
Frenchman Alain Aspect, American John F. Clauser and Austrian Anton Zeilinger jointly won the prize in Physics on Tuesday for their work in quantum physics.
