There will be significant changes in PCR operations starting the new year due to dense fog and severe cold.

According to Police Commissioner Swapan Sharma, patrolling on motorcycles will not be feasible for personnel due to the extreme weather conditions. Instead, all PCR employees will work from morning till evening, focusing on traffic management and city patrols. To combat the challenges posed by the weather, the night patrols will now be conducted using Julo vehicles, with four employees in each vehicle.

This decision aims to safeguard the personnel from harsh weather conditions and boost their morale. In addition to patrolling sensitive areas and monitoring suspicious activities, they will promptly respond to control room messages. Commissioner Sharma urged city residents to collaborate with law enforcement by promptly reporting any criminal or suspicious activities to the police.
