No Flights Allowed From Jan 19-26: Republic Day Celebration

Ahead of the Republic Day celebration, the Delhi International Airport Limited has issued a statement that no flights would be allowed to take off or arrive at the airport between 10:20 am and 12:45 pm from January 19 to January 26 in view of Republic Day celebrations.

The official added that landing or take-off of non-scheduled flights, and chartered flights will not be permitted from 10 am to 1.15 pm during the January 19-25 period.

The rehearsals have already begun in the national capital ahead of the R-Day celebrations. Also the traffic paths has been modified. The Kartavya Path between India Gate and Vijay Chowk will also remain close for any traffic movement.

This year India is celebrating, its 75th Republic Day which is celebrated on Jan 26. The ceremony begins with President’s arrival followed by the flag hoisting, accompanied by the rendition of the National Anthem and the 21 gun salute.

This year French President Emmanuel Macron will be the chief guest of the year in the celebration of India’s 75th Republic Day.
