Unidentified individuals brutally attacked and killed Nihang Singh on the road in Giddarbaha last night. The deceased, Nihang Singh Jasveer Singh Bagga, a resident of Husnar, had set up a makeshift shelter on Malot Road in Giddarbaha a few days ago and used to serve langar to passersby. Last night, when two unidentified persons arrived, the Nihangs asked them to partake in the langar, but instead of eating, the individuals asked Nihang to come outside. When Nihang Singh stepped out, these individuals assaulted him with rods.
The victim’s wife mentioned that the attackers first struck his face with a rod, causing him to fall to the ground. The assailants continued to beat him mercilessly with the rod until he succumbed to his injuries. The deceased Nihang Singh leaves behind three children: a son, Satnam Singh (5), a daughter, Ekam (2), and an infant daughter, Dhanveer Kaur, who is only three months old. The police were informed about the incident and have reached the scene, taking possession of the body for postmortem examination. According to the police, the case is being thoroughly investigated, and efforts are underway to apprehend the assailants soon.”
