The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday once again conducted a raid in Punjab-Haryana to destroy the Khalistani network. Raids have been conducted at about 15 locations in both the states. A raid has been conducted on the house and de-addiction center of Sarabjit Singh CR Kang, former district president of Lok Insaaf Party, who was close to Gurlabh Singh in Moga, Punjab and Simarjit Singh Bains in Khanna, Ludhiana.
Apart from this, investigation is going on at other places as well. A few days ago, NIA had taken action against the bases of the Khalistani network in many states.
This raid is being conducted by the investigating agency to investigate the Khalistani network. On Wednesday morning, the investigating agency raided the house of Gurlabh Singh in Jhandewala village of Chadik, Moga. Local police were also present along with the NIA. The team interrogated Gurlabh Singh’s wife Harpreet Kaur for about two and a half hours. The investigating agency has called him to Chandigarh on 24 November. Apart from this, raids have been conducted on people associated with the Khalistani network in some districts of Haryana.
NIA raided Khanna in Ludhiana on Wednesday morning. Here, the house and de-addiction center of Sarabjit Singh CR Kang, former district president of Lok Insaaf Party was raided. The NIA team reached CR Kang’s house in Bahomajra village at around 6 in the morning.
A long investigation continued there for about 3 hours. Kang’s foreign links were investigated. After interrogation there, the NIA team along with CR reached his de-addiction center located at GT Road Bhattian. Here the investigation lasted for about half an hour. After this, the NIA team left.
A day before, the Special Cell of Delhi Police had arrested Malak Singh from Kurukshetra, Haryana. On September 27, at the behest of Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannu, Malak Singh had written slogans in support of Khalistan on the walls at Delhi’s ISBT bus stand. Apart from this, Pannu had given him the task of writing slogans in support of Khalistan at many other places including Delhi Airport before the final match of the Cricket World Cup.
Pannu is the head of the banned ‘Sikh for Justice’. Police sources said that raids are going on in Punjab in this regard. Police had registered an FIR on September 27 after pro-Khalistan and anti-India slogans were found written on the Kashmiri Gate flyover.
