In Ambala district, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has taken a step towards road safety. The contractor has begun the work of laying white strips on the Ambala-Saharanpur highway. Using a rotary machine, white and yellow stripes are being painted on the divider between the SD Vidyalaya School and the Cantt area.
Previously, concerns were raised about road safety issues, including inadequate white markings, on several roads in Ambala. The Ambala-Saharanpur highway, in particular, was identified as being in the worst condition. NHAI had sent a notice to the contractor responsible for the maintenance, who attributed the delay in marking work to flooding.
