Nehru Yuva Kendra organises Youth Parliament programme on women empowerment

Speaker of the Haryana Assembly Gyan Chand Gupta lit the inaugural candle at the District Neighborhood Youth Parliament program on women’s empowerment, which was held at the Government Polytechnic Institute, Sector 26, under the auspices of Nehru Yuva Kendra. He emphasized how important women have been to the growth of the nation.

Motivational speaker Bhavana Garg’s book “Happiness” was also released during the event by Haryana Assembly Speaker Gupta. He emphasized that India is the most democratic nation in the world and defined the Parliament as the legislature, or the workplace, of members chosen by their constituents. Gupta underlined that by creating and carrying out laws and regulations, the legislative, judiciary, and executive branch work together to enhance democracy. He exhorted people to responsibly use their rights and contribute to the advancement of the country.

Referencing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s cleanliness program, Gupta underlined the significance of cleanliness. He emphasized that every person should do their part to keep their city, neighborhood, and village clean. Gupta listed seven goals for Panchkula’s cleanliness, beauty, and greenness, emphasizing the importance of community involvement in the fight against drug usage.

In response to the youth’s energy, he urged families, educators, and social care providers to help them realize their full potential. Gupta also talked about the problems with air pollution, contaminated food, and junk food’s negative effects on young people.

He stressed the nutritious value of milk, curd, ghee, and lassi to the youth by using the Haryanvi saying “Desaan Mha Desh Haryana Jeet Doodh Dahi Ka Khana.” During the function, Gupta recognized Dr. Alka Sharma, Himangi Sharma, and Bhavana Garg as educationists.

In the first session, Pradeep Kumar, the deputy director of Nehru Yuva Kendra, gave the participants a briefing on the Mera Bharat Yuva Portal. The third session featured a mock parliament program, while the second session concentrated on women’s empowerment and welfare for the underprivileged.

Motivational speaker Bhavana Garg spoke to the students about the dangers of using Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp among other mobile applications excessively. Several dignitaries attended the function, including BJP leaders Sudesh Birla, Yashpal, Jagdish, Chaman Kaushik, and Jagdish Bhagat Singh; the principal of the Government Polytechnic Institute, Daljit Singh; educationist Dr. Alka Sharma; the head of human rights, Naredan, Kuldeep; and Board President Siddharth Rana.
