NCP leader Nawab Malik’s bail plea postponed till January 6

In connection with a money laundering case, the Bombay High Court refused to urgently hear the bail plea of Nationalist Congress Party leader Nawab Malik on Tuesday. Meanwhile, till 6 January court has deferred the hearing. The court has also asked the Enforcement Directorate (ED) to file a reply on the health of the former Maharashtra minister within two weeks. Earlier on Monday Malik’s bail plea was filed and the special court rejected it. However, on 23 February Nawab Malik was arrested by the ED over a property deal allegedly linked with gangster Dawood Ibrahim.
