NaMo Drone Didi campaign launched to empower women: DC Sushil Sarwan

Deputy Commissioner Sushil Sarwan announced the initiation of the NaMo Drone Didi campaign by the government. The campaign aims to provide 15 thousand drones to self-help groups, focusing on the economic empowerment of women.

Addressing attendees during the Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra in Thapali village of Pijor, he expressed that the initiative aims to boost women’s self-confidence, encouraging active participation in the latest agricultural endeavors. The government’s primary objective is to strengthen self-help groups, fostering new dimensions of cooperation, believing that economically empowered women will significantly contribute to the nation’s development.

Sarwan emphasized the potential for a revolutionary impact by involving youth and women in the cooperative sector. He urged widespread participation in the NaMo Drone Didi Maha Abhiyan, envisioning a campaign that reaches every household, street, and village, creating new dimensions and generating employment opportunities for women and youth. The Deputy Commissioner called upon women from self-help groups to actively join the campaign.

Additionally, the government is focusing on increasing grain storage capacity for farmers, especially in rural areas, ensuring the safety of grains and providing convenient storage facilities for farmers.

During the Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra, the Deputy Commissioner visited stalls set up by various departments, distributing benefits such as old age respect allowance, gas connections, BPL cards, Ayushman Chirayu cards, among others, to eligible individuals. Commendable efforts in gas connections, water management, and Panchayati Raj institutions were recognized with on-the-spot citation certificates.

Notable attendees at the event included District General Secretary Virendra Rana, Sarpanch Panchpal Sharma, Panch Geeta Devi, and several rural and party officials. The Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra continues to draw widespread participation, reflecting the community’s engagement in the government’s initiatives.
