A 3-year-old boy was retrieved alive from a 40-foot borewell in Kul village in Bihar’s Nalanda district by National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) soldiers on Sunday.
The rescue mission, which lasted a few hours, was spearheaded by teams from the NDRF, which had been deployed on the scene.

“The boy has been rescued and is doing fine. He was rushed to a hospital. It took us about 5 hours to pull him out alive,” Ranjeet Kumar, an NDRF officer, said.
Officials further informed that the rescued 3-year-old was identified as Shivam Kumar.
