Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National President JP Nadda on Friday attacked Gandhi for his earlier remarks like “Chowkidar Chor Hai” and allegations of the Rafale scam. Nadda also claimed that Gandhi has always limited the scope of political debate.
Nadda tweeted, “By comparing OBC communities to thieves, Rahul Gandhi has shown a pathetic and casteist mindset. However, his latest tirade is not surprising. For the last many years, he has always reduced levels of political discourse. Let me explain how in the thread below.” “Lies, personal slander, and negative politics are integral to Mr. Rahul Gandhi. Let us go back to before 2019 – he was the newly elected Congress President, and his main issue during the campaign was the fabricated Rafale scam. Wherever he went, he spoke of it. Rahul Gandhi now calls the entire OBC community thieves. He receives criticism in the courts, but he refuses to apologise, demonstrating his deep hatred for OBCs. The Indian people did not forgive him in 2019…the punishment will be more severe in 2024,” he added.
While assisting party chief Mallikarjun Kharge down the stairs on Friday, Rahul Gandhi slammed the media, saying, “If I touch you, they say I’m wiping my nose on your back. Utter nonsense. Have you seen that? They say I’m wiping my nose on you because I’m helping you over there,” Congress MP Rahul Gandhi said.
Congress national president Mallikarjun Kharge hit out at the allegations made by the BJP’s national president, JP Nadda, that Rahul Gandhi compared OBC communities to thieves. Nadda accused the ruling party of indulging in “caste politics”. Kharge, in a tweet in Hindi, said, “The Modi government cannot escape from JPC! Nirav Modi, Lalit Modi, and Mehul Choksi fled with the money of PNB and the public. “If OBCs did not do so, then how were they insulted?”
