BJP’s national president J.P. Nadda launched an attack on Congress, saying that Congress’s goal is plunder. He said, “Congress’ main motive is to loot. Come to power and loot. Their policy is to pit brother against brother and embrace appeasement. In contrast, our goal is to empower the country’s villages, poor, farmers, Dalits, oppressed, marginalized, tribals, backwards, youth, and women.” Nadda made these remarks on Wednesday in Birla Sabha Ghar in the capital. During this, he initiated a statewide campaign to seek suggestions from the public for BJP’s resolution paper.
The campaign is named ‘Aapno Rajasthan: Sujhav Aapka, Sankalp Humara.’ He flagged off 50 chariots that would travel to different parts of the state. These chariots carry ‘Aakanksha Peti’ (Aspiration Box), in which people can submit their written suggestions. Additionally, a toll-free number, 8140-200-200, has been provided for seeking suggestions from the public via telephone. An online platform, http://aapnorajasthan2023.com, has also been launched to collect suggestions. This program will run for 15 days and collect suggestions from all sections of society. Nadda first sought the blessings of Lord Ganesh in Moti Dungri upon arriving in Jaipur.
BJP’s Sankalp Patr is another name for an action plan.
Nadda said, “The people of Rajasthan gave us a ticket to Delhi, and we did as much as we could from Delhi for Rajasthan’s development. Now it is time for the people to give us Rajasthan’s ticket as well so that a government with a double engine can make Rajasthan a leading state in development.” He emphasized that when the BJP releases a resolution paper, it is not just a political document but also an objective for plans.
Nadda mentioned that they have been legislators for a long time. He said, “When elections used to come, leaders of the Congress party used to lay foundation stones in the jungles before elections and mislead the public into thinking that roads would be built from here. The public believed them. They hoped that once the elections were over, the roads would be constructed, but the public was left disappointed.”
2023 comes before 2030: Nadda
Nadda said that he saw posters of Congress for 2030 in Jaipur. Mocking, he asked, “Did Congress forget the counting? 2023 comes before 2030. For five years, Gehlot only tried to save his chair. For five years, he engaged in the search for Sachin and what he was doing. For five years, they had internal con
flicts among themselves. To save their chairs, they gave their ministers and legislators a free hand. Now, let’s send these people home and allow BJP to serve.”
Women’s security becoming a concern in Rajasthan
BJP State President C.P. Joshi slammed the Gehlot-led government and said, “On one hand, there is the Narendra Modi government at the centre, which, with the spirit of ‘Yatra Naryastu Pujyante, Ramante Tatra Devata,’ granted women their rights, passed the Women Empowerment Bill, and honoured women’s power. On the other hand, there is the Congress government in the state, which cannot even provide security to women.”
The goal is to reach out to 2.5 crore people.
During the ‘Aapno Rajasthan: Sujhav Aapka, Sankalp Humara’ campaign, Arjun Ram Meghwal, the convener of the resolution committee and law minister, addressed the gathering and stated that through this campaign, they aim to connect with nearly 2.5 crore people in the state.
Former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje said that they endeavour to realize the dream of a prosperous Rajasthan. For this, they are seeking suggestions from the public to understand their opinions and thoughts.
Opposition leader Rajendra Rathore, while criticizing the Rajasthan government, said, “Today, due to terrorism in the state, tourism is collapsing. Incidents of gang rape are increasing, and people are scared of chain-snatching incidents. What can be more shameful than this, is that when the business community presents a memorandum against chain snatching incidents, the police commissioner advises women to wear metals other than gold for their Mangalsutra. In Kuchaman City, two Dalit brothers are crushed to death, and people donate a crore rupees in the name of compensation. On the other hand, due to the pressure of the special community in Subhash Chowk, Jaipur, the government gives Rs 50 lakh compensation to the family of the deceased. The government is pushing the public into the flames of appeasement.”
Deputy Opposition leader Satish Poonia targeted Congress saying, “The people of the state got a government that pushes them into the flames of appeasement. Due to this, there were stone-pelting incidents and riots during Hindu festivals in Kota, Karauli, Dhaulpur, and Bhilwara. The incidents of Kanhailal and Mannu are examples of this appeasement. We have prepared chariots with ‘Aakanksha Peti’ for your suggestions, which will travel to villages and collect suggestions.”
