Police reported that a 27-year-old woman, Lipi Rastogi, the daughter of senior bureaucrats Radhika and Vikas Rastogi from the Maharashtra cadre IAS, died after jumping from a high-rise in Mumbai early Monday morning.
Lipi, who was a law student, was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to her injuries during treatment.
Authorities stated that the incident occurred around 4 am when Lipi jumped from the 10th floor of a building near the state secretariat.
A note was discovered in her room.
Lipi, a law student in Sonepat, Haryana, was reportedly experiencing anxiety about her exams, according to police officers.
Vikas Rastogi holds the position of Principal Secretary in Maharashtra’s Education Department, whereas Radhika Rastogi serves as Principal Secretary in the state’s Home Department.
