Mumbai leads Maharashtra with 8 of 11 new COVID-19 cases

In response to rising COVID-19 cases in multiple states—Kerala, Delhi, Goa, Gujarat, and Karnataka—Union Health Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya chaired a high-level meeting on Wednesday with top officials and chief health secretaries.
Dr. Mandaviya stressed the importance of preparedness, emphasizing the need to prioritize public health over politics. As of 8 am on Wednesday, the nationwide COVID-19 cases totaled 341, with Kerala contributing 292 cases. Mumbai alone reported eight out of the 11 new cases in Maharashtra on Tuesday. Dr. Shalmali Inamdar, an internal medicine specialist, noted a noticeable increase in cases over the past two weeks, with mild symptoms that are manageable at home.
