A 62-year-old man was fatally crushed by a private bus in Madhya Pradesh’s Indore district, according to a police official.
The incident occurred on Monday morning in the Teen Imli area under the jurisdiction of Azad Nagar police station. The deceased, identified as Ram Prasad Maurya (62), was a resident of Pawanpuri colony, Nemawar road, Indore.
“The driver of a private bus was continuously moving the bus in the back and forth direction and during this, a man identified as Ram Prasad Maurya going on a two-wheeler was crushed in which he died. The accident occurred in the Teen Imli area under Azad Nagar police station on Monday morning,” said Rajesh Dandotiya, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (ADCP).
A CCTV video of the incident has surfaced, and a case has been registered under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The investigation into the matter is ongoing, Dandotiya added.
Following the incident, the bus driver fled the scene. The police have seized the bus and are actively pursuing the driver, he further mentioned.
