MP Kartikeya Sharma says wrestlers should end protest

Rajya Sabha MP Kartikeya Sharma, who attended the Lord Parshuram Jayanti celebrations in the holy city of Kurukshetra, addressed the issue of athletes protesting at Jantar Mantar in Delhi during a conversation with journalists. He expressed disappointment that athletes, who should be focused on their performance in the arena, were instead staging demonstrations. Kartikeya Sharma emphasised that the government, courts, and law enforcement agencies are all working on the issue, and an appropriate solution will soon be reached. He strongly disapproved of political parties attempting to politicise the athletes’ plight, as athletes represent the nation and should not be subjected to politics. Kartikeya Sharma urged everyone to refrain from politicising athletes and to let them focus on their careers and representing the country.
