Monsoon Session: President Droupadi Murmu addresses Rajasthan Assembly today

On Friday, the Rajasthan Assembly’s Monsoon Session began At 11 a.m., President Droupadi Murmu is expected to address the House. The President will address the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly in Jaipur on July 14, 2023. She will also speak at a seminar in Jaipur that same evening that is being sponsored by the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly and the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (Rajasthan Branch), according to a statement issued on Wednesday. In addition to the President Murrmu, Rajasthan Governor Kalraj Mishra will be present when the House meets on Friday. Earlier, the bills that will be introduced during the Assembly’s monsoon session were discussed and approved during a meeting of the chief minister’s cabinet, which was presided over by Ashok Gehlot. The Anti-cheating Bill, the University Bill, and the Social Security Pension Bill are just a few of the bills that will be introduced during the monsoon session. Notably, the competitive exam for general knowledge in 2022 for the hiring of second-grade teachers was canceled in December 2022 as a result of an alleged question paper leak. The Gehlot administration came under fire from the opposition even as the government announced a new date for the exam. CM Gehlot informed the media on Tuesday about the objectives the Congress government hopes to achieve during the Monsoon Session of the Assembly, which begins on Friday. He said the government will propose to expand the Social Security Pension Scheme’s scope by 15% annually. “The Social Security Pension Scheme should not be terminated; rather, the emphasis should be on expanding its ambit by 15% annually. In the upcoming Assembly session, we will present a bill that would guarantee the same, Gehlot earlier stated. The Social Security Pension Scheme’s targeted beneficiaries include, among others, the elderly, widows, single women, and people with disabilities. Significantly, the Rajasthan Assembly elections are scheduled to be held later this year.
