Minor girl sexually assaulted, family seeks justice

A case of raping a minor girl from Karauli has come to light in the capital Jaipur. The accused neighbour, under the pretext of cooking, intimidated and carried out the sexual assault of the victim. When the victim opposed, the accused neighbour threatened to defame her.
The police mentioned that a resident of Karauli, a man (42), filed the report. In his complaint, he stated that he resides with his family in the Kho Nagorian area of Jaipur. The allegation is that on the morning of November 26, he went to work, leaving his 14-year-old daughter alone at home. Seeing his underage daughter, the intentions of the accused neighbour’s youth went wrong. Under the pretext of making bread, the accused neighbour called his underage daughter to his house.
Upon going for help, the accused neighbour carried out the incident of sexual assault with the underage daughter. On opposing, the accused neighbour threatened the youth with dire consequences. On telling someone about the incident, the accused neighbour threatened to harm her. Fearing defamation, the victim returned home.
The victim reached home and narrated the incident to her family. After this, the victim’s family filed a case against the accused neighbour at the Kho Nagorian police station. The police have registered an FIR under the POCSO Act and initiated an investigation.
