Minister Anmol Gagan Mann distributes appointment letters to Anganwadi workers

During its one-and-a-half-year tenure of the Bhagwant Singh Mann-led Punjab government, over 38000 youths have been given appointment letters for government jobs and this campaign is still in continuation, said Cabinet Minister Anmol Gagan Mann at BDPO office Majri. While handing over appointment letters to newly recruited 39 Anganwadi helpers and 13 Anganwadi workers by the Social Security, Women and Child Development Department, she said that the relentless and honest efforts of the Punjab Government paying back to the Punjab residents to make the state progressive. She also distributed baby kits to 15 newborn girls under the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign. The cabinet minister further said that the Punjab Government is running a recruitment campaign in the state in a purely merit-based and transparent manner, with which only competent, deserving and needy candidates are getting jobs. There is no place for recommendation or other corrupt ways in this recruitment drive barring merit. She said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, diligent efforts are being made to transform the state into ‘Rangla Punjab’, thus keeping the youth of the state away from drugs and reversing the trend of going abroad by ushering a transparent era of employment for them. The cabinet minister congratulated the newly appointed helpers and Anganwadi workers and instructed them to work with full honesty and diligence and to reach the needy and eligible beneficiaries with welfare schemes of the government. On this occasion, BDPO Majri Vinod Joshi, CDPO Shubham Bharadwaj, along with officials of various departments and several villagers and dignitaries were present.
