MAYOR STRENGTHENS ENFORCEMENT FOR AN ENCROACHMENT-FREE CHANDIGARH

Taking another step towards curbing temporary encroachments from the city, Anup Gupta, city Mayor today flagged off a contingent of enforcement vehicles at MCC office premises in the presence of Anindita Mitra, IAS, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation Chandigarh and other councillors and officers of MCC. The addition of two utility vehicles, one boom recovery van and three dual cabin truck vehicles to enhance the removal of encroachments from the city markets and roadsides. Further, the body cameras shall ensure that in case of disputes, the recording can be checked to resolve the same. While speaking on the occasion, the Mayor said that the enforcement winging MCC has been strengthened to keep the city encroachments free.
