Mangal Dhillon, noted for his roles in programmes such as ‘Junoon’ and ‘Buniyaad,’ passes away. He had cancer and was receiving treatment at a private hospital in Ludhiana.
Actor Yashpal Sharma also confirmed the news and expressed his sorrow for his demise. He posted on Facebook, “Mangal Dillon Ji RIP”.
Many of his followers recalled him fondly for his acting ability. “He had remarkable acting skills,” one fan stated. “I recall seeing him in several TV serials, including ‘Junoon’ and ‘Buniyad.'” “He had a captivating presence,” said one fan of his slick portrayal of villains. “I was impressed when I first saw him in ‘Buniyaad.'” The multi-talented actor, who hails from Faridkot, has also dabbled in production, direction, and writing. He created a name for himself not just in Bollywood and TV, but also in Punjabi cinema, where he appeared in a number of films. Notably, he co-starred with Rekha in ‘Khoon Bhari Maang,’ and he has also appeared in films such as ‘Dayavan,’ ‘Zakhmi Aurat,’ ‘Vishwatma,’ ‘Pyaar Ka Devta,’ ‘Amba,’ ‘Toofan Singh,’ ‘Dalaal,’ and many more.
