According to a police official on Tuesday, a man in the Bilaspur district of Chhattisgarh allegedly strangled his wife and their three small children to death because he thought she was unfaithful. Santosh Singh, the superintendant of police in Bilaspur, has announced that an investigation has commenced into the incident that happened on Monday in Hirri village, which is under the jurisdiction of Masturi police station. According to the police official, Umendra Kevat, 34, the accused, has been taken into custody on suspicion of murder.
The murdered children – two girls aged 4 and 5 and a 2-year-old son, Bilaspur SP said.
Meanwhile, a woman allegedly shot dead her husband and elder brother-in-law over a family dispute in Madhya Pradesh’s Ujjain district on Monday, police said.
