Makers reveal the first look of Muthiah Muralidaran’s biopic 800

To mark the occasion of cricketer Muthiah Muralidaran’s 51st birthday, the makers of his biopic unveiled the first look from the film. Taran Adarsh took to his official Twitter handle and shared the first look of actor Madhurr Mittal. He will be playing the lead role of Muthiah Muralidaran in 800. For the unversed, 800 refers to the record number of wickets Muralidaran took in Test cricket during his career and it is written and directed by MS Sripathy.

[Muthiah Muralidaran] as he is popularly known – turns 51 today and Team 800 have launched the [First Look] poster of the biopic on his birthday. Written-directed by MS Sripathy, the [Tamil] film is aptly titled 800, after the record number of wickets [Muthiah Muralidaran] took in Test cricket… The film will also release in [Hindi] and [Telugu] languages. Produced by Movie Train Motion Pictures and Vivek Rangachari… In *cinemas* 2023.”

If reports are to be believed, the film has been shot in India as well as abroad. It has been filmed in locations including Chennai, Cochin, Sri Lanka, the UK, and Australia. The release date of the film has not been announced yet by the makers.
