Maharashtra plans real-time road work updates with new portal: PWD minister

PWD Minister Ravindra Chavan announced in the Maharashtra Assembly on Tuesday the upcoming launch of a portal offering real-time updates on ongoing road works in the state. The portal aims to keep the public informed about the progress of road projects managed by various departments, including the Public Works Department, Rural Development Department, Pradhan Mantri Sadak Yojana, and Chief Minister Gram Sadak Yojana. Chavan emphasized the diverse norms and rules governing road works under different schemes and assured timely completion, with monitoring at every stage and consequences for contractors failing to meet deadlines.
