Love affair ends in double suicide, shocks village

In Dungarpur, Rajasthan, a tragic incident involving the suicide of a lover couple has recently surfaced. The young man and woman, entangled in a love affair, took their lives by fashioning a noose from the same scarf and hanging themselves in a jungle. The distressing scene was discovered by children from the nearby village of Bhadra Rata, who were grazing cattle in the vicinity. The children promptly informed their relatives about the grim discovery.
When the villagers received the information about this gruesome suicide, they called the local police. As soon as the police received this information, the Chorasi police station dispatched officers to the location. The police secured the bodies and transferred them to the Chorasi Hospital mortuary for post-mortem examination. The incident unfolded in Chorasi village in Dungarpur.
According to the Chorasi police, on Sunday, a holiday, children from the Bhadra Rata village went for cattle grazing in the jungle. During their activities, they came across the distressing sight of a young man and woman suspended from the same rope on a tree. Alarmed, the children rushed back to inform their family members, who, along with other villagers, reached the site. Subsequently, the villagers reported the incident to the Chorasi police station.
Upon receiving the information, the police arrived at the scene, identified the deceased youth as Rangela and the woman as Dudheli—both residents of Bhadra Rata—and removed them from the noose. The police then informed the relatives of the tragic incident, who also arrived at the location.
The bodies were later placed in the district hospital mortuary for post-mortem examination. Preliminary investigations by the police suggest that the motive behind the suicides is linked to the romantic involvement between the young man and woman. As of now, no official statement has been provided by the relatives, and further police action will be contingent on their reports.
