Shortly after the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha’s sessions resumed, both Houses were suspended till 2 pm after Opposition MPs raised the demand for a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) investigation into the Adani stock issue.
The second part of the budget session is currently in its sixth day. As the Lok Sabha’s day session ended, Opposition members rushed the Speaker’s podium to voice their support for a Joint Parliamentary Committee investigation into the Hindenburg-Adani controversy.
In addition, the BJP members also demanded an apology from Rahul Gandhi for his comments made in the UK.
Meanwhile, Congress claimed that the audio had been muted, after shouting that Rahul Gandhi should be given the opportunity to answer to the accusations made against him by BJP leaders.
They claimed that there was no audio for about 20 minutes of the House proceedings. However, government sources said that it was a technical glitch.
The second part of the Budget session scheduled to begin on 13 March.
