On 25 August, fear erupted in the border district of Jaisalmer after a live anti-personnel mine was discovered near the India-Pakistan border.
The live mine was spotted by a shepherd, near the Kerla village in the border area. The shepherd informed the villagers, who, in turn, alerted the Border Security Force (BSF) about the discovery of the anti-personnel mine.
