LG says J&K shifts from hartal calendars to educational schedules

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha of Jammu and Kashmir heralded a new era for the region, declaring a departure from the era of hartal calendars imposed from across the border to embracing the schedules set by local educational institutions.

Addressing a spirited audience at Moulana Azad Stadium in Jammu, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared the stage, Lt. Governor Sinha lauded the region’s upward trajectory under PM Modi’s leadership. He emphasized the transition from external influences dictating protest schedules to the adoption of calendars issued by local schools and universities.
“In a monumental shift, J&K now follows the calendars set by our educational institutions, signifying our autonomy and determination to chart our own course,” proclaimed Lt. Governor Sinha, amidst thunderous applause.

Reflecting on the transformative journey since August 5, 2019, Lt. Governor Sinha underscored the region’s resilience in overcoming the scourge of terrorism, separatism, and injustice. “Under PM Modi’s visionary leadership, J&K has witnessed unprecedented strides towards peace and development,” he affirmed. Lt. Governor Sinha underscored the government’s commitment to inclusive governance, ensuring equitable representation for marginalized communities. He cited the imminent Panchayat elections as a testament to this commitment, promising fair and transparent polls.

“With PM Modi’s unwavering support, J&K is on a trajectory of peace and prosperity. Terrorism-related incidents have plummeted by an impressive 75%, and our streets are once again vibrant with nightlife and bustling cinemas,” declared Lt. Governor Sinha, evoking a sense of optimism for the region’s future.
