Lemongrass and Mushroom cultivation changing Lives in Bihar

The women of the Naxal-hit area of Bihar’s Gaya are becoming self-sufficient by cultivating lemongrass and mushroom. Earlier, when opium was cultivated on barren land now lemongrass crops are flourishing. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is going to meet these women.

With the help of Sarv Seva Samiti, women are being trained to cultivate lemongrass and mushrooms. The women who were unemployed before are now becoming strong by selling their products.
