Krystyna Pyszkova from the Czech Republic emerged victorious, clinching the prestigious Miss World 2024 title at the grand event held at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai. Karolina Bielawska, the reigning Miss World 2022 from Poland, passed on her crown to the new winner. The First Runner-Up for this year’s pageant is Yasmina Zaytoun from Lebanon.
The competition saw 112 participants competing for the coveted title, including India’s representative, Sini Shetty, who did not secure a spot in the Top 4. Renowned filmmaker Karan Johar co-hosted the event alongside former Miss World Megan Young.
Several celebrities graced the occasion, including actors Kriti Sanon, Pooja Hegde, and former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh, all of whom arrived in glamorous attire. Kriti stunned in a green gown, while Pooja dazzled in a sequinned pink gown. Both Kriti and Pooja also served as members of the jury panel.
Karan Johar looked dashing in a black tuxedo. Bigg Boss 17 winner Munawar Faruqui and actress Rubina Dilaik were also among the guests. The event featured performances by artists such as Shaan, Neha Kakkar, and Tony Kakkar, with Toni Ann Singh, the winner of Miss World 2019, gracing the stage as a special musical guest.
This year’s Miss World pageant marked a significant return to India after a hiatus of 28 years, with the country last hosting the event in 1996, where Irene Skliva from Greece was crowned the winner.
