An 18-year-old student studying for the Indian Institute of Technology-Joint Entrance Examination (IIT-JEE) at a coaching institution in Rajasthan’s Kota allegedly committed suicide in his PG room on Tuesday night. This is the fourth alleged suicide attempt by a coaching student in Kota this month, and the 21st such attempt this year.
The kid, who was from Bihar’s Gaya district, had been studying for the IIT-JEE entrance exam at a coaching institute in Kota and was staying in a PG room in the Mahaveer Nagar area, according to police.
The event was discovered at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, and the body was collected from the room and sent to the New Medical College Hospital (NMCH) mortuary for a post-mortem, according to media.
According to authorities, the adolescent was last seen on Monday evening. The police also stated that no suicide note was found in his room. The investigation is now underway.
