Kerala train fire case: Sharukh Saifi sent to 14-day judicial custody

Shahrukh Saifi, a Kerala train arson suspect, was remanded in judicial custody for 14 days on Friday.

The order was issued by Kozhikode Judicial First Class Magistrate, who arrived at the Kozhikode Government Medical College Hospital on Friday morning to complete the remand process for the accused, Saifi.

“City Police Commissioner Rajpal Meena and Munsiff Magistrate arrived at the hospital, and the accused was given 14 days judicial custody,” officials said.

On Thursday morning, Saifi was brought to Kozhikode Medical College for a medical examination and was admitted. According to officials, the magistrate court transferred the proceedings to the hospital due to the accused’s health issues.
