Kerala Police to produce the suspect in the Kalamassery blast Dominic Martin in court

Dominic Martin will appear before the court today on behalf of the Kerala Police regarding his purported involvement in the bombing incident that occurred on Sunday in Kalamassery. Martin was taken into custody by Kochi Police at 7 p.m. on Monday, according to a video confession he had made and shared on Facebook. To gather more evidence, police have brought the suspect, Dominic Martin, to his home in Athani, Ernakulam.

“Martin has been charged under UAPA, Explosive Act, sections 302 and 307. The arrest was registered at 7 p.m. yesterday. He will be presented before the court today,” Kerala police officials stated.
According to the police investigation so far, it has come to light that he was involved alone in this blast. “We are also investigating whether more people are involved in this,” Kerala police further said.

The police claim that the investigation is moving quickly and that every party involved will be looked into. Regarding the explosion, the Kerala Police are still in the process of coming to a decision. Presenting Dominic the suspect in court today, obtaining his remand, and questioning him are the police’s top priorities. Dominic Martin claims he bought materials to make bombs, and the police are going to drag him to all those locations. In addition, he will be taken to the convention center by the police.

Dominic Martin surrendered after claiming responsibility for carrying multiple blasts in Ernakulum district of the state during a religious prayer event a day ago at the Zamra International Convention Centre in Kalamassery where over 2,000 followers of Jehovah’s Witnesses, a Christian sect, had gathered for a prayer meeting on Sunday.
Multiple explosions took place at a prayer meeting of Jehovah’s Witnesses in the Kalamassery area of Kochi at around 9:00 a.m. on Sunday.
