Due to the possibilities of bad weather in Kedarghati for the next three to four days, pilgrim registration for the Kedarnath yatra has been stopped till May 8, officials said on Friday.
“Registration for Kedarnath Dham visits will be prohibited till May 8.” There is a chance of rain in Kedarghati during the next three to four days. “In light of this, the government has made this decision,” an official release noted. According to tourist department records, 1.26 lakh pilgrims have already registered for the yatra, which begins on May 10. 1.23 lakh pilgrims had visited Kedarnath Dham as of May 4.
According to an official announcement, the Kedarnath Dham Yatra path, which was closed on Thursday after a glacier broke near Bhairon in the afternoon.
“The personnel of DDMA, SDRF, DDRF, NDRF, YMF, and police have removed snow from a glacier, and the Kedarnath Yatra route has been made smooth for pilgrims travelling on foot.” The travel route for horse and mules’ has not yet been opened, but the snow removal work is being done quickly by labourers,”read the release.
The route between Bhairav and Kuber Gadere was closed after a glacier broke in the region.
According to the announcement, he instructed the DDRF, SDRF, NDRF, and police personnel deployed on the Yatra route’s glaciers to take extra care of their own safety and the safety of the pilgrims. The Kedarnath temple is one of the most revered temples in the country dedicated to Lord Shiva, and visitors come from all across the country during the six months the temple is open.
