At Bengaluru’s Kanteerava Stadium on Wednesday, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddharamaiah raised the national flag as part of the 68th Karnataka Rajyotsava festivities. During the festivities, the Chief Minister also spoke to the crowd and encouraged Kannada speakers to be proud of their language. On Tuesday, the people of Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Lakshadweep, and Puducherry were greeted by President Droupadi Murmu on the occasion of their formation.
“Greetings to the people of Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Lakshadweep and Puducherry on their formation day. My best wishes for the progress and prosperity of the residents of these States and Union Territories,” the Rashtrapati Bhavan said in a tweet.
