Joint civil police training: identifying key polling stations for 2024 LS polls

A joint training session for civil and police officers on the identification of sensitive polling stations, as per the instructions of the Election Commission of India for the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections-2024, was conducted under the chairmanship of the District Election Officer at the District Administrative Complex in SAS Nagar on Wednesday. Officials were trained to identify critical/sensitive polling stations, as well as cost-sensitive constituencies and areas.

During the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain emphasized that all officers should coordinate with their senior counterparts and discharge their duties smoothly during the elections. Additional District Election Officer Viraj S. Tidke, Chandrajoti Singh (Sub Divisional Magistrate, Mohali), Himanshu Gupta (Sub Divisional Magistrate, Derabassi), Gurmandar Singh (Sub Divisional Magistrate, Kharar), DSP, Group Supervisor Dinesh Kumar Saini, SLMT (State Level Master Trainer) Rupnagar, Election Tehsildar Sanjay Kumar, and election lawmaker Surinder Kumar also participated in the training.
