Rajesh Jogpal, the Registrar of Cooperative Societies in Haryana (IAS), secured his second term as the National General Secretary of the Pythian Council of India during the Governing Board meeting in Chandigarh. Recognized for his outstanding work, Jogpal has been entrusted with the leadership of Haryana once again, assuming the role of President.
Known for his friendly demeanor, extensive experience, and sportsmanship, Jogpal is also the founder and president of the Youth Hostel Association of India, Chandigarh State Branch.
Notably, he represented India at the International Youth Conferences in Vienna (1996) and New Delhi (2000). Jogpal elucidates that the modern Pythian Games trace their roots back to ancient Greece around 582 BC during the Pan Hellenic Games era.
Regarded as the second most significant sporting event after the Olympics, the contemporary Pythian Games bring new optimism, fostering various structures that contribute to tourism, job creation, and the national economy by providing opportunities for artisans and collaborators.
