J&K LG unveils Haj Committee’s commemorative Coffee Table Book ‘The Spiritual Journey HAJ

Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha unveiled the Coffee Table Book titled “The Spiritual Journey HAJ,” a poignant tribute to the Haj pilgrimage, published by the Jammu Kashmir Haj Committee. The release event took place at Raj Bhawan, where the Lt Governor congratulated the Committee and the editorial team for this insightful publication.

Expressing his warm congratulations, Lt Governor Sinha highlighted the significance of the pilgrimage to the Holy places during Haj and Umrah. He remarked that the Coffee Table Book would serve as a valuable resource, significantly enhancing the ease of travel for pilgrims while providing essential information about the services offered to the revered Hajis.

“I extend my greetings and felicitations to Jammu Kashmir Haj Committee for this thoughtful publication, which will not only offer glimpses of sacred places but also provide essential instructions and guidelines to pilgrims, ensuring they perform their pilgrimage in a proper and befitting manner,” observed the Lt Governor.

Ms Safina Baig, Chairperson of J&K Haj Committee, Vijay Kumar Bidhuri, Divisional Commissioner of Kashmir, Dr Shujaat Ahmad, Executive Officer of J&K Haj Committee, Moulvi Mohammad Ashraf, Member of J&K Haj Committee, and Irshad Ahmad, Haj Officer, were present at the unveiling ceremony. The Coffee Table Book “The Spiritual Journey HAJ” is expected to be a valuable addition to the literary and cultural landscape, offering insights into the spiritual odyssey of the Haj pilgrimage and serving as a comprehensive guide for future pilgrims. The release event marked a significant moment in acknowledging and preserving the profound spiritual and cultural heritage associated with the Haj pilgrimage in Jammu and Kashmir.
