J&K govt enforces mandatory employee attendance for Republic Day

The Jammu and Kashmir Government has made it compulsory for its employees to attend Republic Day functions on January 26 as an essential aspect of their official duties in the Union Territory. The primary Republic Day event for 2024 is set to take place at Maulana Azad Stadium in Jammu, presided over by the Lieutenant Governor, who will also receive the salute. All government officers, officials, and those from Public Sector Undertakings in Jammu are instructed to participate in the function as part of their official responsibilities. Heads of Departments and Chief Executives of Public Sector Undertakings are mandated to ensure their own presence and that of their subordinates at the ceremony.
