Jim Sarbh, Shefali Shah, Vir Das nominated for Emmys 2023

The International Emmy Awards 2023 has revealed its list of nominees, with 56 contenders from 20 countries vying for honours in 14 categories. Among them are Indian actors Jim Sarbh, Shefali Shah and Vir Das. Jim Sarbh has been nominated for Best Performance by an Actor for his role in ‘Rocket Boys’, a SonyLIV web series. He is competing with Gustavo Bassani from Argentina, Martin Freeman from the UK and Jonas Karlsson from Sweden.
Shefali Shah, known for her role in NetfNetflix’s ‘Delhi Crime’ Season 2, is nominated for Best Performance by an Actress. She is in the running with Connie Nielsen from Denmark, Billie Piper from the UK and Karla Souza from Mexico.
Vir Das has received a nomination for his Netflix comedy special ‘Vir Das: Landing’, sharing the category with Le Flambeau from France, El Encargado from Argentina and Derry Girls Season 3 from the UK. Reacting to the nomination, Jim Sarbh expressed his excitement and said the nomination was a testament to the hard work of the cast and crew of Rocket Boys. “I am overwhelmed and excited to be nominated under the Best Actor category at the International Emmy Awards for my portrayal of Dr Homi Bhabha in Rocket Boys. It is an honor to be recognised amongst such talented individuals from across the world.”
