Jharkhand: Home guard jawans march to Raj Bhavan demanding regularisation

Under the banner of Jharkhand Home Guard Welfare Association, home guard jawans from all over the state staged a protest march in Ranchi today demanding regularization of home guard jawans, equal pay for equal work, and payment of lump sum amount after retirement.

In the mean time, jawans from all the districts of the state gathered at Morhabadi Maidan in Ranchi. All the jawans queued up from Morabadi Maidan and marched to Raj Bhavan. After reaching the Raj Bhavan from the Morhabadi ground, the men and women soldiers raised slogans against the government.

On this occasion, the State President of Jharkhand Home Guard Welfare Association said that even after three years of government formation, the government has not considered the demands of the Home Guard jawans sympathetically. He said that if the government does not pay heed to the demands of the Home Guard jawans, then there will be a fierce agitation in the coming times.
