JEE coaching student’s death prompts police inquiry

In the case of the death of a JEE coaching student in Kota, Rajasthan, new details have emerged. The 17-year-old student, Satyaveer, was allegedly chased and beaten by fellow coaching students on Sarairam Road following a dispute within the group. The victim suffered internal injuries during the altercation, leading to his death. Satyaveer’s mother filed a report against 6-7 individuals, and the police have initiated an investigation.
The deceased student’s father, Tarkeshwar, reached Kota on Tuesday evening, and postmortem proceedings were conducted at New Medical Hospital. Satyaveer’s friend revealed that the assailant, identified as a minor, attacked him with a baseball bat near a tea stall. The motive behind the attack remains unclear. Satyaveer succumbed to his injuries during the night. A candle march demanding justice for Satyaveer was organized by the community, and the police are checking the age-related documents of the assailant youth.
