Jammu: Bus Fell Into Deep Gorge In Akhnoor, 21 Dead, 40 Injured
A bus plunged into a deep gorge in the Chungi Morh area of Akhnoor in Jammu district this afternoon. An official stated that a rescue operation was initiated immediately after the incident.
Today at about 1235 hrs, one Bus No. UP81CT-4058 carrying devotees from Kurukshetra, Haryana towards Shivkhori, Pouni, when reached near Tungi Morh, Chowki Choura the said Bus rolled down into deep gorge, as a result of which 21 passengers died and 40 passengers got injured. Dead bodies shifted to SDH Akhnoor and injured (07 persons admitted in SDH Akhnoor & 40 persons admitted in GMC Jammu). Rescue operation is still on.
